As the representative of the 144th District, my role is to listen to the needs of residents, find solutions to their issues and share with them the possibilities available to them through interaction at the state level.  I also introduce and provide input on new legislation that will make the lives of our residents better.

Legislative Highlights: 

H.R. 216 “Opioid Recovery Task Force Resolution” (Prime Sponsor) - ...establishing a legislative task force on overdose recovery and directing the Joint State Government Commission to conduct a study on warm hand-off to treatment for individuals with a substance use disorder in this Commonwealth and to report its findings and recommendations to the House of Representatives.  Passed House 195-0.

H.B. 1410/Act 101 “Transit Revitalization Investment District Act” (CoSponsor) - ...establishing the Military Installation Remediation Fund.  This legislation was the impetus for delivering water remediation to residents of Warrington and the surrounding communities.   Governor signed into law.

H.B. 1290 “Military Child Abuse Protection Bill” (Prime Sponsor) - ...requires mandatory reporting of child abuse cases by the counties and/or military to the corresponding County Advocacy Program for access to information in Statewide database  and for release of information in confidential reports.  This legislation protected children of servicemen/women from abuse.  Passed House 195-0. Referred to Senate Health and Human Services.

H.B. 2093 “Save Tabora Farm Agritourism Bill”(Prime Sponsor) -...is intended to define “agritourism” and establish rules by which Pennsylvania small farms can operate agriculture-related business operations without overregulation by local authorities.  Referred to the House Local Government Committee.

H.B. 1236 “Smoke Alarm Device Responsibility Bill” (Prime Sponsor) -...requires rental units with phase in period to be equipped with 10 year battery, tamper resistant smoke detectors.  Voted out of Veterans Affairs and Emergency Preparedness Committee unanimously. Scheduled for House Floor vote 1/22/20.

H.B. 1696 “Mental Health Parity Bill” (Prime CoSponsor)...providing parity and non-discrimination by insurance companies for mental health issues while providing patient care.  Currently on the Governor’s desk for signature into law.

Non-Legislative Highlights: 

$1 Million for Warrington Police: In August, 2019 the PA Redevelopment Capital Assistance Program provided a grant at my request to assist in the redevelopment of the Warrington Police Headquarters and Administration Building.

$100,000 for Firefighters and Emergency Personnel: In January, 2020 I secured Fire and Emergency Service  grant funding to assist our hard-working men and women serving in Chalfont, Dublin, Hilltown, Silverdale and Warrington.

$700,000 For Dublin Town Center Redevelopment: In November, 2019 the PA Multimodal Transportation Fund provided a grant at my request to help facilitate the redevelopment of the Borough and its town center.

Dedicated funding for DART West:  In November, 2019, the PA Department of Community and Economic Development provided a grant at my request to create the new 202-Corridor service of the successful DART program to provide free (to seniors 65+)or reduced-fare transport to residents in New Britain and Chalfont. 

Funding for Local Parks:  In 2020 I secured funding for the redevelopment of Twin Oaks Day Camp into Lions Pride Park, a facility for individuals of all ages and abilities.  I also secured $232,000 for an engineering study of Covered Bridge Park in New Britain.

Funding for Medical Research:  Recognizing a need I worked with others to secure $1 Million in Research Funds for a New Britain company developing pioneering devices for treatment of Pulmonary Embolism and Heart Catheterization. 


Additional Highlights:

“Drive-Through” Senior Expo and Veterans Expo:  Recognizing that senior citizens and veterans still needed access to resources provided by the state during COVID-19 restrictions  I created special “drive-through” events where hundreds of local residents could interact with our team from the safety of their vehicle. 

Gun Locks & Prescription Locks:  In conjunction with District Attorney Weintraub, I was and continue to be able to provide free firearm locks and prescription bottle locks for residents of the 144th District.  Also worked on training with local police.

Clean Water Recognition:  Recognized by Governor Tom Wolf for leadership in the effort to provide remediation funding and clean water to the residents of Warrington as a result of the NAS Willow Grove contamination.

1995-Present:  Residential Realtor, Keller Williams Real Estate, Inc.

I have represented hundreds of buyers and sellers throughout Bucks County while also serving as the President of the 32,000+ member Pennsylvania Association of Realtors (2016), the Chairman of the 13,000+ member Suburban Realtors Alliance (2009) and President of the 3,000+ member Bucks County Association of Realtors (2006).  Named the Bucks “Realtor of the Year” in 2010.

1985-2005:  United States Naval Aviator, Aircraft Carrier Qualified, Reconnaissance Combat Pilot, Operation Desert Shield/Storm Veteran, Retired Navy Commander (O-5). 


Education:

The United States Naval Academy - Annapolis, MD (1981-1985)

Prepares Midshipmen morally, menatally and physically to be a career officer in the United States Naval Service.
