Now Racing to November!
Now that Todd has earned your support he is working hard to help keep the 144th the great community it has been for decades. This is the site for the Friends of Todd Polinchock, supporting his re-election in 2020.
Leading in a Time of Crisis
When Governor Wolf announced the "State of Emergency" declaration Representative Polinchock immediately "put on hold" the 2020 campaign (the only candidate in the district to do so) and focused instead on helping members of the 144th get the support they need. He worked hard to hold-accountable the Department of Labor & Industry and its outdated unemployment system, and introduced legislation to help restart essential businesses like real estate and legal services.
But now we are focusing on the November 3rd election in a safe, responsible way. Be sure to follow Todd's Facebook posts and those of the Friends of Todd Polinchock who are working to promote his re-election. Look for materials highlighting the work Representative Polinchock has done to make our district stronger and better. Finally, look for opportunities to engage with Representative Polinchock in ways that are socially-distant, virtual, or comfortable to you.
Harrisburg is not Washington; politics is local. When looking for leadership continue to look to legislators who have worked with colleagues on both sides of the aisle and who know how to legislate for the entire district - especially those who have had the ear of that district through some of Pennsylvania's most challenging months.
Continuing What Has Been Started
When Todd asked for your vote in 2018 he talked about making our communities better. During his first year in office Representative Polinchock has had tremendous success working with members of both parties to accomplish a great deal.
Some examples include:
Creating an opioid task force: His first action in the legislature, Representative Polinchock worked to create a new opioid task force that brings together individuals on all sides of the crisis - with the intent of creating better solutions and options for those wrestling with the disease of opioid addiction.
Working for clean water: As someone who spent 14 years on the grounds of the Joint Reserve Base at Willow Grove as a Navy pilot, Representative Polinchock has gained a in-depth knowledge and understanding of the problems PFAS and PFOAs create for local residents. That is why he worked with legislators from both sides of the aisle, and with Governor Wolf, to pass legislation that will make getting clean water easier for Warrington and the surrounding communities.
Protecting our First Responders: As a member of the Veterans Affairs and Emergency Preparedness Committee, Representative Polinchock has worked hard to not only protect first responders but also give them the tools they need. That is why he helped secure a $1 Million grant to complete the rebuild of the Warrington Police Station in 2019.
Supporting Family Farms: Healthy communities are ones that have a solid appreciation of agriculture and open space. Representative Polinchock saw what local regulation was doing to places like Tabora Farm and introduced legislation to help keep farm families in business.
Helping our Seniors: Senior citizens throughout the 144th district have asked for more affordable, more accessible transportation options. That is why Representative Polinchock worked to secure the funding for DART WEST - the continuation of Doylestown's well-known bus transit service - along the 202 Corridor from Delaware Valley University to County Line Road.
Strengthening Abuse Laws: No longer are the files related to domestic abuse archived when a member of the military transfers out of that location. Representative Polinchock worked to make sure that record follows along, to protect others down the line.
There are plenty of other examples, which we try to highlight on the Friends of Todd Polinchock Facebook page.
